The Route des Crêtes (Route of the Ridges) is a 77-kilometer road that runs through the heights of the Vosges Mountains. The road passes through idyllic landscapes and can be enjoyed at any pace, whether on foot, by bicycle or by car. The beauty of the landscape and its wealth of flora and fauna can best be experienced from the peaks of the Grand Ballon, the Markstein and the Hohneck. This unique route with its magnificent panoramic views should not be missed!
#Basel region- The caves of Réclère
Since 1890, the Caves of Réclère have captivated visitors. A 1,500 meter long path through the caves passes by a multitude of stalagmites and stalactites of extraordinary beauty. Magnificent rock formations, including the elegant Pagoda, the largest stalagmite in Switzerland The Dome (15 meters high!) and the enigmatic portrait that seems to represent a face in profile, can be admired here.
The Prehisto Park on the surface offers interesting insights into the evolution of animals, from the first fish that populated the seas to the dinosaurs and the relatives of today’s elephants, the mammoths. An experience for young and old!
#Black Forest – #Schauinsland Cable Car Freiburg
Germany’s longest circulating cable car takes visitors safely up Freiburg’s local mountain in just 20 minutes at any time of year. From the top station, you can then start your personal mountain world experience day. Numerous tours with varying degrees of difficulty provide variety and breathtaking panoramic views.
The “Lauschtour app” offers a free audio guide. This way, visitors can discover nature, get to know the technology and experience history. Listen and be amazed at what the mountain and the railroad have to offer!
